Tarangire is home to one of the largest elephant populations in Tanzania, with herds of up to 300 individuals often seen during the dry season. The park also hosts a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and rare species like the fringe-eared oryx and long-necked gerenuk.

Bird enthusiasts will delight in the park's avian diversity, boasting over 550 recorded species. Notable birds include the vibrant yellow-collared lovebird, the stately kori bustard, and the endemic ashy starling.

The iconic baobab trees, some over a thousand years old, dot the landscape, providing essential resources for wildlife and adding to the park's unique charm.
